After CAF, Morocco wins at FIFA (OFFICIAL)

Algeria – FIFA is preparing to strengthen its presence in Africa with the imminent opening of a regional headquarters in Rabat, near the prestigious Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmoura. The information, relayed by sources close to the case cited by Hesportmarks a significant step for the development of African football.

According to these same sources, the official signing of the memorandum of understanding concerning this project took place this Monday, December 16. This ceremony was held on the sidelines of the CAF Awards 2024, a major event organized at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech. The evening, which celebrates the best players in African football, once again testifies to Morocco’s growing role in the continental and global sports ecosystem.

Many leading personalities marked their presence on this occasion, including representatives of FIFA, the Confederation of African Football (CAF), as well as Moroccan political and sports leaders. The choice of Rabat to host this headquarters is part of a dynamic aimed at positioning the Kingdom as a strategic hub for international football bodies.

The installation of this regional headquarters near the Mohammed VI Football Center, recognized for its cutting-edge infrastructure and its essential role in the training of African talents, reinforces Morocco’s credibility as a key player in the development of sport on the continent. The complex, located in Maâmura, has already hosted several national teams and international delegations, consolidating its global reputation.
