The former president of the High Council of Malians of France, Demba Diabira, was arrested and placed under arrest warrant by the high court of Commune IV of the district of Bamako for “Usurpation of title and status” and “Abuse of trust and complicity”. This arrest follows a complaint filed by the HCMF office headed by Ms. Dalla Dramé.
Habib Sylla not involved
For several days, false information has accused the president of the High Council of Malians Abroad, Habib Sylla, and certain personalities residing in Bamako of being involved in the arrest of Demba Diabira. However, neither Habib Sylla nor any other personality is involved in this affair.
It is important to specify that the legal proceedings against Demba Diabira were initiated following the filing of a complaint by the Office of the High Council of Malians of France, represented by Madame Dalla Dramé. “Any insinuation aimed at implicating other people in this matter is unfounded and an attempt at disinformation,” informs us a source close to the High Council of Malians of France, who asks “the people concerned to exercise restraint in the dissemination of unverified information that could damage the reputation and credibility of those victims of this ongoing smear campaign.”
