The CAF Women’s Golden Ball goes to Zambian Barbara Banda

The women’s Ballon d’Or rewarding the best player of the year was awarded to the Zambian Barbra Banda, this Monday, December 16 during the CAF Awards which took place in Marrakech.

Barbra Banda wrote her name in history by becoming the first African player to join the FIFPRO Women’s World 11 for the year 2024

Alongside Banda, the final list of contenders for this title also included Sanaa Mssoudy, the striker of AS FAR and the Moroccan national team and the Nigerian Chiamaka Nnadozie. This award was presented by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and CAF President Patrice Motsepe.
