Since its release on December 13, the series “1992”, directed by Álex de la Iglesia, has unleashed passions by rising to the top of the Netflix trends. Marian Álvarez plays Amparo, a woman in search of truth. But before playing this successful role, the actress distinguished herself in several productions.

Marian Álvarez was born in 1978 in Madrid. After university studies in commercial science, the young woman dedicated herself to the art of comedy. To perfect her acting, she took classes at the Juan Carlos Corazza theater school.

She began her career on the small screen where she made a series of appearances. The public can find her in numerous Spanish series “El Grupo”, “7 Lives”, “All for the game” but also “L’Unité”.

His first foray into cinema was in the Spanish thriller “Incautos” directed in 2005 by Miguel Bardem. Subsequently, she devoted herself to larger productions such as “Lo mejor de mí” directed by Roser Aguilar in 2007 or “Once upon a time in Euskadi” by Manu Gómez in 2021.

A gripping thriller

With “1992”, Marian Álvarez established herself with a key role in the series' cast. In six breathtaking episodes, spectators discover the wanderings of his character, Amparo. The latter seeks to discover the truth about the tragic disappearance of her husband. A murder that seems strangely linked to the Universal Exhibition taking place in Seville in 1992, a major event in Spanish history. To help her in her quest for truth, she can count on Richi, a security agent with a police background. A series of murders will then follow, putting the safety of our two protagonists in danger.
