According to Mr. Brochu, the fire did not spread throughout the building. For the moment, these are checks that we are carrying out, but it seems that the damage would be contained to a single dwelling. Of course, there is going to be some water and smoke damage to adjacent apartments, but for now, it seems well under control.

All eight units in the building were evacuated and no residents were injured. We had a bus come to warm them up while they waited. Subsequently, there will be a relocation and the Red Cross will be involvedexplains Stéphane Brochu.
