What are the motivations of the man who spontaneously surrendered to the police on Saturday December 14, two hours after the start of his murderous journey? He has started in a farmhouse in Wormhout (North), the home of his first victima 29-year-old man and father of two children, who ran a small road transport company.
The alleged killer, aged 22, is unknown to the police. Several automatic weapons were found in the trunk of his car.
After the first homicide at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, he traveled 25km to Loon-Plage (North). At 4 p.m., he allegedly shot dead two security guards at a port company. The day after the tragedy, his colleagues, stationed on surveillance of the Dunkirk Christmas market (North), were overwhelmed. “It sawed off our legs“, summarizes Tony Guarin.
Finally, the suspect allegedly killed two men who lived in a migrant camp. “They were Kurds, two Kurds from Iran. Two men I had known for a long time, very nice to everyone,” an acquaintance saddens. The motive of the alleged shooter remains a mystery for the moment. His custody could last until Wednesday.
