The damage could have been much greater without the rapid intervention of the firefighters. Saturday December 14, 2024, in the early evening, around 7:30 p.m., a fire declared himself in the commune of Rives (Lot-et-Garonne) in a hangar agricole where there were bottes de roundballers.

Machinery and equipment saved thanks to firefighters

THE flames began to gain momentum at the level of these large rollers intended for storage of hay or straw. Six roundballers were on fire at the time of the intervention of the 14 firefighters who were mobilized.

With three fire vehicles and the use of two hoses, the firefighters managed to stops la propagation from the foyer to the entire shed, where agricultural machinery as well as equipment.

The origins of the fire remain unknown.
