Weather report. What is the weather for this Sunday, December 15 in Hauts-de-?

On the front page of the weather news, it is indeed the clouds which still monopolize the region's skies. And yet, conditions are largely anticyclonic. Despite the high pressures, a new, not very active wave will still succeed in crossing the region.

If at the very end of the night the sky is decidedly gray in the east with some local fog, it seems that morning people in the west can appreciate some clearings. Unfortunately, very quickly, light rains hit the coastline and then shifted towards the south-east of Hauts-de-France. The weak southwest wind is oriented to the west on the coast where it will be moderate to temporarily quite strong with some gusts close to 40 km/h.

A few rays of sunshine in the west to start the day?

When the light and scattered rains have left our departments, they will leave behind stubborn clouds which will cover the sky over the entire region. The morning wind gusts strengthen on the coast, reaching at times the hills of Artois, they vary between 40 and 50 km/h.

Monday : The 51th week of the year begins with the maintenance of anticyclonic conditions. If some gray weather is present to start the day, reductions in visibility should be minimal thanks to the strong wind. (Indeed the southwest wind will be moderate with gusts of 40 to 50 km/h in the northwest, up to 60 on the coast). Sky-wise no improvement, it will remain overcast, we will have some temporary drizzle which will be more frequent as we get closer to the coast at the end of the day. We will welcome the clear rise in the minimums with 5 to 10°C, the maximums will show 9 to 13°C.

Mardi : Some local mists and fogs at the end of the night, then the day will pass under a compact cloud cover, compact but which could allow timid clearings in the afternoon, to be continued… In any case, clouds thicker ones will return at the end of the day. The wind will be light and the day's temperatures will drop a few degrees : 2 to 7°C for mini, 7 to 10°C for maxi.

Wednesday : And it goes on and on… Very cloudy to overcast skies with the possibility of light rain at the end of the day. The minimums will vary between 3 and 6°C, so our consolation will come from the maximums with 12 to 15°C.

Good news for air quality today, the pollution episode over, we should find an average index across all of our departments. As often, a useful little reminder from ATMO Hauts-de-France, since air quality is not just outside : For your household or DIY products, look for products with the air emissions label (A+) and eco-labels to preserve the quality of the indoor air in your home.

Finally some good news, it feels good

Happy Ninon’s Day on December 15th. Did you know that Ninon is actually a derivative of the first name Anne but also Nina ? It is a typically French first name because in other European countries it is Nina who takes precedence. Happy birthday and very happy Sunday to all. Tomorrow, don't forget to celebrate Alice and Alizée.
