The national secretary of Ecologists, Marine Tondelier denounced on Saturday on France Inter the conditions “incredible” of the appointment of Prime Minister, François Bayrou. “We take the same ones and start again,” she estimated, saying that the President of the Republic has, according to her, a “problem with the notion of alternation”.
On potential censorship of the government by environmentalists, Marine Tondelier declared: “I am not firmly in favor of a priori censorship but I am starting to have preconceptions of censorship. » According to her, beyond the name of the Prime Minister, environmentalists will also base their decision to censor, or not, the Bayrou government on the substance of the policies that will be carried out, as well as on the method. She notably reiterated that environmentalists would watch carefully whether or not the Prime Minister commits not to resort to 49.3.
Mme Tondelier regretted not having been able to speak with Mr. Bayrou yet: “He preferred to receive Mr. Retailleau rather than consult the political forces present,” she affirmed, denouncing a macronism “ disavowed by the ballot boxes, by the motion of censure, now by the rating agencies.”
While La France insoumise reported that her party intended to censor the Bayrou government as soon as possible, Marine Tondelier said she respected the positions of the PS and the “rebellious”, while admitting that the positions of the New Popular Front were not uniform in the face of to the new prime minister. Mr. Bayrou “has its own censorship in its hands”, she added, calling for the forces of the New Popular Front to be consulted by the prime minister.
