The planned reduction in transport rates is 80% of the total, figures Tinne Van der Straeten. The industry currently pays 5 to 6 euros per MWh. The bill, which should have increased to 8 or 9 euros per MWh, will therefore drop to 1.5 or 2 euros per MWh. Enough to ensure the competitiveness of these companies compared to those of neighboring countries.
The budget needed in 2025 is 150 million, which should be drawn from excise taxes.
