A few weeks agoan 18-year-old high school student testified tonews Rennes of the attack committed by around fifteen young people of which he was the victim in the Colombier district, in the city center of the Breton capital.

This fact is just one of many which pushed the mayor of Rennes, Nathalie Appéré, to issue a municipal decree to prohibit excessive and prolonged gatherings and static groupings constituting disturbances to peace and security.

“A situation in which tranquility deteriorates”

Elle announced it herself, Friday December 13, on the Place du Colombier itself, during a press briefing dedicated to the presentation of a new tool acquired for the municipal police.

The sector is in a situation in which tranquility is deteriorating in a particular way. There were no less than 200 police patrols in July and August.
