A major fire broke out this Friday morning in a building on Avenue d’Iéna, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.
At 11:20 a.m., the fire was still in progress and around forty firefighters were mobilized.
According to an initial assessment, there were no victims.
A burning smell, heavy smoke and flames perceptible hundreds of meters away. This Friday, December 13 in the morning, a major fire broke out in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, for a reason which remains undetermined for the time being.
The incident was noted on the seventh and top floor of a building located at 26 avenue d’Iéna. Many people filmed the flames on their phones before posting the images on social media.
No victims, according to an initial report
Contacted by TF1/LCI, the spokesperson for the Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP) specifies that“part of the roof went up in smoke” and that the fire at 11:20 a.m. was not “not yet mastered”. At this time, however, it was “decreasing in intensity”.
Around forty firefighters are on site. According to an initial assessment, there were no victims.
