Monaco scuttles himself and flows to Arsenal

Wednesday evening during the 6th day, the Monegasques were swept by Arsenal in London (3-0).

Monaco was not invited. Wednesday evening, during the 6e Champions League Day, players from the Principality did not make the weight against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium (3-0). Adi Hütter’s men looked at the Gunners in the eyes during the first half hour before falling on the first achievement of Bukayo Saka of the evening (34e). Decimated by (too much) injured, the ASM has lost a lot of balloons in the midfield. Real offerings for London attackers who took pleasure in engulfing the spaces left behind the Monegasque defense, placed very high on the ground. The rock team could consider itself happy to count only one goal behind the break thanks to two superb major Radoslaw parades (25e27e).

ASM (completely) scuttled

Monaco balanced the debates in the second half by being much higher on the field. Takumi Minamino, who came into play at halftime, did a lot of good to his team, adding an undeniable technical quality in the midfield and in the last 25 meters. ASM dominated most of the second act without ever really worrying the goalkeeper David Raya. The Red and White lacked bite, cutting edge in the area of truth against Londoners who made their back.

Without making their time a highlight, the players of the rock were (logically) punished again by Saka (78e), on a gross error of the central defense signed Thilo Kehrer and Mohammed salisu. Kai Havertz, who took part in his people’s victory in the 73rd minute, has completed, thanks to the clumsiness of the Monegasque defense once again, the success of Arsenal (88th). By pocketing the three points at home, the current thirds of this Champions League, almost confirm their place in the Top 8 and a direct qualification in the round of 16. For its part, the ASM collects a second consecutive defeat in C1 and plunges to 16e row. The Principality still retains (very) big chance of being in the 24 teams that will see the dams.
