Near Lyon. Shot, a man between life and death discovered in a car

The evening of Tuesday December 10, 2024 was marked by a outbreak of violence in Meyzieu, in the metropolis of Lyon.

Two men injured, one seriously by gunshotwere found in a car. An investigation into attempted homicide is open.

Here's what we know.

Two victims

According to information fromActu 17and confirmed by news Lyonit was around 10 p.m. when two injured individuals were discovered injured in a Peugeot 208, parked on Chemin des Pommiers, in a residential area.

The first victim, aged around 30, was seriously injured by at least one gunshot. Hit in the chest, the man was transported between life and death at the Édouard Herriot hospital in Lyon.

The second injured individual, believed to be 22 years old, was hit by stabbings. He also had broken teethaccording to a source close to the matter. The 20-year-old was also rushed to hospital. Unlike the first victim, his vital prognosis was not in jeopardy.

Investigations are underway to understand what exactly happened and find the shooter(s). An investigation into attempted murder has been opened.

The Territorial Crime Division (DCT) would be in charge of the case.
