Luigi Mangione, 26, arrested Monday at a McDonald’s in the rural town of Altoona, in the state of Pennsylvania, contested his transfer on Tuesday to the justice system of the State of New York, which is waiting to try him for the shooting in the street of Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthCare, the country’s largest private health insurer.
While he was charged with murder, his lawyer Thomas Dickey indicated that he would plead not guilty and assured: “I have not seen any evidence that proves that he is the shooter.”
