The infant's death led to the indictment of a childminder aged around forty for “murder”. This indictment comes three months after the death of the 22-month-old baby for whom she was responsible in Chessy-les-Mines (Rhône), according to information communicated this Wednesday, December 11 by judicial sources. Brought before an investigating judge last Friday, she was placed in pre-trial detention. The public prosecutor's office confirmed this decision, initially revealed by the newspaper Progress.

It was on September 13 that the little girl was discovered lifeless at the nanny's home. According to the results of the autopsy, the child died of asphyxiation, announced prosecutor Laetitia Francart, cited by media such as The Parisian. Since then, the professional authorization of the childminder, who has been active for around 15 years, has been revoked.
