Vietnamese Embassy coordinates investigation into murder of Vietnamese woman in Singapore
The Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore said it was coordinating with local authorities to clarify the cause of a stabbing attack that killed a Vietnamese woman in Hougang on December 10.

Singaporean authorities confirmed that the woman was Dào Thi Hông, a 34-year-old Vietnamese national and mother of three children.

The embassy contacted the victim’s family to help organize the funeral.
Dào Thi Hông had moved to Singapore from Hanoi five years ago and worked at Quan Long Nippon Paint hardware store.
A 26-year-old man, believed to be an employee of the store, attempted to intervene during the attack and was injured in the process.
Police have not released the identity of the suspect, who is believed to be another employee at the store. He is expected to be charged with murder on December 12, an offense punishable by death, according to local media.
