Horror scene in Avignon. A young woman aged 24 was found dead in her apartment in the La Balance district of Avignon, a police source confirms to France 3 Provence-Alpes.
Her apartment bears witness to extreme violence leading to the young woman’s death. The hypothesis of rape is also not excluded. The case was entrusted to the Organized Crime Division (DCOS), which was mobilized to find those responsible for this deadly attack.
On the morning of Tuesday, December 10, the victim’s mother, having had no news from her daughter, became worried. She went to her home and when her calls remained in vain, she finally contacted the firefighters to open the door.
Faced with the scale of the rampage, they called the police who subsequently mobilized a DCOS team. The findings will have taken several hours.
A murder investigation has been opened by the Avignon public prosecutor’s office.
