Back in the cage! Colby Covington unpacks it all
Covington did not hesitate and immediately quoted his opponent whom he faced twice: “ It’s definitely Marty Juiceman » , obviously targeting Kamaru Usman. “ Because he’s a cheater and a coward. He clearly cheated several times in our fights, so I can’t respect someone who cheats in a fight. I have never cheated. I have always done things the right way. I didn’t ask for shortcuts, I had to take the long way.«
Covington was stopped by Usman in their first World title fight welters at UFC 245. After dominating Tyron Woodley 10 months later, Covington got another chance to fight Usman for the title at UFC 268. Usman won a very close decision to retain his title. At 36, Covington earned a third title shot after his victory over Jorge Masvidal. He lost again but to Leon Edwards at UFC 296. With this return, Covington is more determined than ever to show that he deserves another title shot.
