During the night from Sunday to Monday, a young man was killed by several bullets in his apartment on rue des Frênes. The mayor of Saint-Nazaire David Samzun and the deputy Matthias Tavel reacted during the day to this tragedy.
The fear that the situation will degenerate even further
“When I learned of the murder of this young man, early this morning, in the Bouletterie district, I was initially stunned. A state that has still not left me. In a context where the police forces are very present and organize major operations to put down drug trafficking in Saint-Nazaire, this tragedy will contribute to the strengthening of the feeling of general insecurity. This murder is a higher level reached in the violence linked to drug trafficking, with which I do not want the city of Saint-Nazaire and its agglomeration to be associated. This morning, I ask the Justice and the Police to mobilize at the right level so that the situation does not degenerate further” says David Samzun.

The horror of deputy Matthias Tavel
“The horror. This morning a 19-year-old young man was shot and killed in Saint-Nazaire, probably in connection with drug trafficking. Full support for neighborhood residents in the face of this criminal violence. Confidence in investigators and justice to find the author” MP Matthias Tavel published this Monday on his social networks.
