the fall in prices continues this Saturday, December 7

After stability for a good part of the week, domestic fuel prices fell this weekend. This drop is notably due to the calm that reigns in the oil markets.

This Saturday, December 7, ordinary fuel oil is displayed at exactly 1.111 euros per liter, according to the specialized site Prixfioul.fr. As for the superior, it is sold on average at 1.130 euros per liter. Whether for ordinary or superior, the prices displayed this Saturday are down 4 euros per 1,000 liters compared to the prices observed over the last few days.

For its part, the Fioulreduc site displays an average price of 1.103 euros per liter. According to this online comparator, today's rate is down three euros per 1,000 liters compared to Friday. Finally, on the Fioulmarket site, fuel oil is sold for 1,110 euros on average for a purchase of 1,000 liters. On this platform too, today's price is down two euros compared to the day before.

Where to find the cheapest domestic fuel oil in this Saturday?

According to the Fioulreduc.fr platform, which compares the prices of domestic fuel oil between regions, it is in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur that we find the cheapest price in France today, with 1,052 euros in average for a purchase of 1000 liters. Conversely, it is in Hauts-de-France that the price is the highest, with 1,178 euros for an order of 1000 liters. As such, the difference in prices between Franche-Comté and Auvergne amounts to 126 euros for a purchase of 1000 liters.

The current dynamic in fuel oil prices can be explained by the decline in oil prices observed since the middle of the week. Indeed, when the prices of black gold fall, those of domestic fuel oil in France follow the same trajectory. According to the specialist site Prixdubaril, Brent from the North Sea stood this Saturday morning at $71.12, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was quoted at $67.20 per barrel.

For homes heating with oil, now is the ideal time to place an order, with current prices among the lowest of the year. However, with demand expected to increase and a possible rise in oil prices, prices could rise in the coming weeks.
