A structure long 250 meters and can hold up to 7000m³ of water. In addition to being environmentally friendly, this valley allows a direct response and a significant step forward in flood risk management. This infrastructure is part of a broader strategy carried out by the City of Lunel to strengthen its resilience in the face of climate change.
In addition, this valley, with an investment of 500,000 euros, is designed to be entirely planted with Mediterranean species promoting biodiversity in order to contribute to the stabilization of the soil and to limit runoff while integrating a green promenade for local residents. .

Since 2020, Lunel has been working to address climate change, in particular through the creation of retention basins, the modernization of water treatment infrastructure and the signing of the Flood Prevention Action Program (PAPI 3) of the Vidourle.
