Orvault adorns itself with the colors of Noël this Friday, December 6. Everything is planned to delight young and old: illuminations, Santa Claus, market, concert… We reveal the program of the festivities.
Trees and the illuminated castle
The launch of the illuminations by the mayor of Orvault, Jean-Sébastien Guitton, Santa Claus and the president of Petits futés, Sébastien Lecoultre, will take place in the village this Friday from 5:45 p.m.
It will be possible to admire the sparkle of the trees and in front of the Château de la Gobinière until the beginning of January 2025.
Be careful however, the traffic will be disrupted on Friday December 6 around 6 p.m. in the town of Orvault.
Around fifteen stands
For the Christmas market, around fifteen stands of local artisans are expected in the heart of the town of Orvault, place Jeanne d’ArcFriday December 6 and Saturday December 7. This will be an opportunity to find great gift ideas before the end-of-year holidays, but also
to meet Santa Claus on Friday evening.
The Bourg Christmas market is co-organized by the Town of Orvault and the Bourg merchants' association, Les Petits futés. The Pepone café and the Lebeau confectionery will be present during the two days, the Cave Orvault and the Effect Bœuf, only on Friday evening.
Friday, December 6, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.: opening of the Christmas market and the Disney Baby ride, arrival of Santa Claus in the horse-drawn carriage from the Loret horse farm and launch of the Christmas lights. Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Friendly breakfast offered from 10 a.m. by the Petits futés and sweet delights offered by the parents' association of Saint-Joseph school to finance a school trip.

Saturday, December 7 at 10:30 a.m. for ages 6 months to 3 years and at 4 p.m. for ages 3 to 6 years, show A whole little world by the Cie L'Orée du conte: a colorful and poetic universe, a joyful bric-a-brac of treasures on wheels.

Saturday December 14 at 11 a.m. for ages 5 and up, Winter in a few tales, by the storyteller Rose: comforting, generous stories, which smell of juniper, gingerbread or a wood fire in the fireplace.
Saturday, December 7 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Ateliers de la Gobinière: The Ateliers de la Gobinière are organizing a large workshop clearance.
Tuesday, December 17 at 7 p.m. at the Théâtre de la Gobinière: end-of-year concert by students of the OrigaMi music school. Free.
Thursday, December 11 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., a time offered by the Plaisance Sociocultural Center: Residents' Café, Reverse graffiti creative workshop, reading corner, snack and magical, bright fanfare from 4 elves from the Beleza Company.
Tuesday, December 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., big festive moment on avenue Alexandre-Goupil with the 32 merchants of Petit-Chantilly: mulled wine to be consumed in moderation, photo with Santa Claus, carriage ride… Free.
Friday, December 20 from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Stévin center: end-of-year solidarity meal offered by the Bugallière sociocultural center, with dancing evening and clown show.
An eco-responsible Christmas
Orvault also ensures that Christmas celebrations are eco-responsible through various initiatives:
Come with your small appliance and try to repair it with the volunteers. Saturday December 7 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Parc de la Gobinière, Salle du Parc.
- Self-repair of bicycle
Come with your bike to repair it. Saturday December 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at FabRic, 31, rue Robert-le-Ricolais.
- Collection of fir trees and shells
From December 30 to January 19, drop off your natural fir trees at a collection point, they will be crushed and the shavings used for mulching: Plaisance – rue des Dahlias; Bugallière – Stevin center; Bourg – Frébaudière (shell depot); Gobinière (shell deposit); Bois-Raguenet – sports complex; Bout-des-Pavés – rue de la Mulonnière; Petit-Moulin – Cressonnière
