HANDIBASKET – Nationale 2: A match that promises to be full of emotions

On December 7 at 5 p.m., Handisport Métropole will play its last championship match of 2024, at home, against the Aulnoye-Aymeries team.

This Saturday, HSAM will meet a team they already know well, the Aulnoye-Aymeries team. For this last match of the year before the championship resumes in January 2025, the Amiens team and its coach, Kévin Le Sausse, intend to give everything on the pitch: “It’s going to be an interesting match. We will be able to rotate the squad, ensure that everyone can play. » explains the coach.

This match therefore being the last of the championship for the year 2024, it will be all the more rich in emotions because it is a match in tribute to player number 5 of the HSAM, the young Ethan Magnier, who died last October. : “It will be a very emotional match, it will be hard for everyone, team and supporters alike. And for Aulnoye-Aymeries too, they know our team well and knew Ethan”.

Until Saturday, the team continues training. Despite the cold that is felt in the gymnasium during training sessions, the coach remains optimistic for his team:“Fatigue-wise it’s fine. We feel like it's the end of the year for everyone but that's normal. Muscularly speaking, with the cold it's a little more complicated because they have more difficulty warming up and I see that they need to move more, but otherwise that's fine too. Here we are aiming for 5/5. We are going to try for a perfect season and then go for victories in the Super Cup. »

The meeting between Amiens and Aulnoye-Aymeries will take place at the Stéphane Fournier gymnasium in Amiens, this Saturday December 7 at 5 p.m. Entrance is free and a refreshment bar will be held on site.
