The end of the year is a good time for best ofs and other retrospectives on the year that has just passed. With this idea in mind, “Billboard” has just unveiled a major ranking: that of the biggest pop stars of the 21st century – just that. To develop this list made up of 25 international singing stars, the media looked at their careers, their evolution and their impact on pop over the last 25 years.

In this list, we find a large part of American stars who are making good time in the music industry thanks to their talent. At the bottom of this ranking, we discover artists such as Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Bad Bunny and One Direction.
Miley Cyrus, who made the entire planet sing with “Party in the USA”, “We Can't Stop”, “Wrecking Ball” and, more recently, her revenge song “Flowers”, took fifteenth position. The diva Adele, who captivated us with her hits “Rolling in the Deep”, “Someone Like You”, “Set Fire to the Rain”, “Hello”… managed to climb to tenth place. Finally, the singer Britney Spears, a true pop icon at the end of the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s with her titles “…Baby One More Time”, “Oops!… I Said It Again”, “Toxic” “Gimme More »… settles in sixth place.

But what about the winning trio? On the third step of the podium, we find Rihanna, whose ninth album is long overdue. She is preceded by an artist with countless records: Taylor Swift. The American, who became the first billionaire female artist thanks to her music, has won a host of awards and her latest tour, “The Eras Tour”, is the most lucrative of all time. In the space of twenty years, Tay-Tay has become a true musical phenomenon for an entire generation.
The crown of pop star of the century inevitably goes to a Queen (B)… Beyoncé has been crowned the most influential pop star of the 21st century, thanks to her numerous records in various music rankings. But also his undisputed influence within the industry and his thirty-two Grammys.
