The lady will be able to return home

On the return of the Oleye fire (read above), around 8:50 a.m., the firefighters were called to Waremme, on the second floor of an apartment close to the Vieux Moulin, for what seemed to be a departure fire also. Alerted by the smell of smoke and the sight of it through the balcony, the neighbors tried to call the resident. It concerns an elderly lady who is slightly hard of hearing, but to no avail. So they called the firefighters. Quickly arriving on site, the team, accompanied by an ambulance and the SMUR from the Joseph Wauters hospital, were able to intervene quickly. It was in fact a house fire caused by pans left on the fire. As a precaution, the woman was taken to hospital, but will be able to return home once the examinations are completed.
