Laurent David (Les Herbiers): “We started the match way too late”

Last Sunday, the Girondins de Bordeaux won during the 8th Round of the Coupe de France, against Herbiers Vendée Foot, thus qualifying for the 32nd finals, where they will face Stade Rennais. Laurent Davidthe Herbiers coach, returned to this match lost against Bordeaux with a score of 2-0.

“First half difficult in terms of intensity, we weren't there too much. Following unusual technical errors, we conceded two goals and that complicated the game. We had the first two situations which were called offside but we showed that we were capable of doing it. Unfortunately we were victims of errors which were detrimental to us. We had to have a much more offensive team in the second half. Even though we dominated and we had a few situations, they also had a lot of counterattacks that could have hurt. The match was almost decided at 2-0. It's a disappointment because we weren't there from the first minute unfortunately. We started the match way too late. We have to think about the championship and quickly get back to work because we have an important championship match in Dinan next week. »
