Rafaël Harvey-Pinard has only played five games with the Laval Rocket, but he has already created a strong impression on the team’s coach, Pascal Vincent.
“We talked a little. What an exceptional human being. He says the real things,” said Vincent on Tuesday in an interview with “JiC”.

Harvey-Pinard was only supposed to be passing through Laval, where he was sent by the Montreal Canadiens to get back into shape after missing four months due to a lower body injury. However, it will take him more time to find his feet and the CH has chosen to submit him to waivers so that he stays longer in Laval.
Some players might be dejected by such a situation. But Harvey-Pinard is not that kind of man.
“His attitude is incredible, exceptional,” insisted Vincent. His leadership… we were playing at Lehigh Valley and he wasn’t playing because he was on waivers. He helped us calculate faceoffs. He’s a National League guy and he took statistics in the stands. That’s the type of individual he is.”
Vincent is convinced that the 25-year-old forward, who is “the kind of guy who makes a lot of experts lie,” will eventually make it back to the NHL.
“It’s tough to miss training camp and so much practice time in the summer and to come in and produce and play the same way you did when he was 100 percent,” he said. he explained.
“His biggest asset is the attention to detail, his stick, his positioning, he’s almost perfect,” he added. He will give himself every possible chance to return to the Canadian.”
In the meantime, Vincent has the chance to count on a guy who will certainly give the Rocket a lot.
“His morale is excellent, he is part of the Rocket, his head is here 100%,” he explained. Today we were practicing and he was one of our best players. As soon as he puts on the skates, he goes 100%”
