While she left the Star Academy at the end of the prime on Saturday November 30, 2024 on TF1, Julie spoke to the microphone of Serieously. The opportunity for her to look back on her elimination at the gates of the tour, her relationship with Masséo or even her predictions on the name of the future winner.
This Saturday, November 30, TF1 offered a special bonus tour of the Star Academy. On this occasion, viewers nominated the five candidates who will join Ebony, Marguerite et Maureen and will hit the roads of France and Belgium in the coming months. These are like this Charles, Franck, Maia, Marine et Ulysses who were chosen while Julie was eliminated. A difficult moment for the 19-year-old young woman, who was very affected by the announcement of her departure.
“By the time I was only against Marine, I understood…” Julie (Star Academy)
« It was complicated at the time obviously because it's a little frustrating to leave so close to my goal, which was the tour. But I was able to put things into perspective very quickly and then I was able to find my family and call my loved ones, so obviously that helped me appreciate being out a little more” confides Julie at the microphone of Serieously.
However, the ex-academician explains to us that she had prepared herself for the idea of leaving. “I didn't experience it as a shock strictly speaking because we were preparing and I told myself that there was still a risk that I would leave, but it's strange to say to ourselves that we won't return not at the castle with friends. After, at the moment when I was only against Marine, I understood that it was me who was leaving. I understood that she was popular outside because there were a lot of signs for Marine on the prime and so I suspected that it was me who was going to leave at that moment”.
“My sister reimbursed everyone who helped with the prize pool” Julie (Star Academy)
Originally from Switzerland, where it is not possible to vote at the Star AcademyJulie was able to count on her sister to set up an online pot, the funds collected from which made it possible to purchase telephone cards in France and thus count the Swiss votes. A prize pool which, in the end, exceeded 12,000 euros.
« It's something she told me when I went out, that she had organized a fundraiser and that it had brought in a lot of moneydeclares Julie. Afterwards, we learned that other prize pools (for other academicians) had brought in even more money, some brought back 35,000 euros, so obviously we were still far from the mark. But I was enormously touched to see that there were so many people who supported me and who wanted to help me go as far as possible in this adventure. This is what I remember the most. My sister reimbursed everyone who helped with the prize pool ».
“I didn’t feel like I was friendzoning Masséo” Julie (Star Academy)
After her elimination on the prime, Julie was able to find her former roommates at the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys, such as for example Emma who slept with her at the hotel. She also reviewed Masséoto whom she was particularly close during the adventure. At the microphone of SerieouslyJulie also took the opportunity to return to the nature of his relationship with the young man.
She explains: “When we are at the castle, we are together 24 hours a day, so it obviously creates very strong bonds. Our emotions are heightened and increased tenfold. With Masséo, it’s true that we got a lot closer, but we immediately made things clear. We said we were only friends. This decision came from both of us. So there was only friendship. It made me laugh a little that people thought I had friendzoned him, because that's not at all what actually happened. It had been many weeks since we said that we were only friends, so that's not at all how he experienced it, I think, and how I experienced it. I didn't feel like I was friendzoning anyone. I was just telling the truth.”.
If the young woman claims not to have “no regrets” about his experience Star Academyshe quotes the concert with Patrick Bruel as his best memory. As a reminder, Julie was invited to join the singer on stage at the Zénith de Dijon on November 16 to perform his hit I'll tell you anyway and duo.
“It was truly a timeless moment. He was very human, very kind. His entire team was extremely kind to me. He really wanted it to be a really good time for me and it was. It was exceptional to be able to go on that stage, it was the first big stage I did, and it was absolutely fantastic » says Julie.
Who will win the Star Academy 2024 according to Julie?
While there are still eight candidates remaining at the Château de Dammarie-les-Lys, Julie already has an idea of who could win the 2024 edition of the Star Academy. « Me, I think it's Ebony who can win the show. Because she is very funny, very kind, she is endearing, she is there for everyone. It's our star of the castle, as we call it! She has an incredible vocal technique, she sings divinely well”.
And what’s next for Julie? “My plans are already going to be to go home! (Laughs) But then it will be create my team to be able to start writing songs, recording singles, EPs and then, if I have the opportunity, albums. To be able to share moments on stage with the public. I'm not against doing musicals but I don't want it to become the main part of my job.” she concludes at the microphone of Serieously.
