Who could replace Michel Barnier in the event of a motion of censure? The names of François Bayrou, president of MoDem and David Lisnard, president of the association of mayors of , were mentioned on Monday, December 2.

“Wouldn't the new thing be to propose someone from the left? Or, give Bernard Cazeneuve a chance,” asked Marcelo Wesfreid, deputy head of the political service of the Parisianguest of RTL.

“The head of state can turn to Boris Vallaud, who is the boss of socialist deputies,” he said. “We have to find candidates who are ready to board a boat that could sink in two weeks,” concluded Marcelo Weisfred.
