two brothers sentenced to 11 and 16 years in prison

Two brothers aged around twenty were tried before the Créteil Assize Court from November 26 to 29, 2024 for the murder of a man in L'Haÿ-les-Roses (Val-de-). The victim, nicknamed “Black Fou”, had received blows and was injured with a knife on the night of September 30 to October 1, 2021, reports The Parisian . His body was found in a parking lot.

The man had been killed following an ambush he had set up for one of the two brothers a little earlier. According to witnesses, around ten people attacked Black Fou out of revenge.

They deny their involvement

In police custody and throughout the investigation, the two brothers denied their involvement. However, according to News a knife was found in the vehicle of one of the suspects and as well as traces of DNA, right next to the place where the victim was killed. “They prioritized this fraternal silence. Since day 1, they have been making fun of us to save themselves” indicated the general advocate cited by The Parisian.

The lawyers of the two brothers pleaded for acquittal, arguing that there was no “not the start of a solid investigation”. Not enough to convince the judges and juries. The two brothers were respectively sentenced to sixteen and eleven years in prison.
