From U11 to U15

Created in the fall of 2023 under the leadership of President Tugdual Le Lay, the Gwengamp Akademi also offers a “holiday package”. But this extends to the U18s when the weekly session is intended for players playing in the U11 to U15 categories. “We work on individual fundamentals. As there are different age groups, we do not form a collective. But everyone is improving their offensive and defensive ranges. » Perfection, in short. Without forgetting awareness of physical and mental preparations in order to go further in learning.

Obviously focused on the development of its young shoots, this additional training undoubtedly constitutes the beginnings of a future sports section. “We are thinking about setting up one with a college in Guingamp,” announces Yannick Tanguy. The idea is to combine a flexible schedule and careful academic monitoring with a certain progress on the floor.

“We hope that this will improve the level of play of our teams so that as many of them as possible go to the Regional,” emphasizes Delphine Gapihan. It won’t happen in one year, but over the medium term.” At ABC Guingamp, training is gaining momentum.
