After declaring that to be in MotoGP you have to concentrate 100% on the track and on what will follow in the competition, Pol Espargaró recalled that the last races of the year for his brother Aleix had already been a bit affected by the fact that the #41 was also a little “out of step” with what was to follow, given his withdrawal from the track, and admitted that it was the same with Dani Pedrosa, with whom he discussed of subject.
The Yamaha test rider revealed to Mundo Deportivo that he recently spoke to Pedrosa about Aleix's results, and how something similar also happened to the #26: 'Just the other day I was talking to Dani Pedrosa. He asked me for Aleix's results and told me the same thing was happening to him.
And he again explained the focus and commitment needed: 'To be in the elite of motorcycling, you have to have fire in your eyes. You have to be obsessed. The moment you relax or think about other things in the future, the results will not be what you want.'
However, it wasn't all the pilot's fault: 'If you add to that that Aprilia hasn't been competitive in the last few races, it's a very bad combination.'
