Jorge Martín attacks Ducati: 'They must surely regret it now.'

Jorge Martín has mainly benefited from a very friendly relationship with Ducati, but he has always been hurt by the way he was passed over for promotion to the factory team and he believes that, although he does not admit it , the manufacturer regrets not having invested in its services.

The Spaniard spoke to TVE where he recalled his childhood desire to become world champion and his joy was naturally evident: 'It was my dream since I was little, I always dreamed of becoming MotoGP champion. I won the Moto3 title, but I was missing this one. It's taken a lot of work and sacrifice, but to finally see my name on the Champions Tower, alongside the names that are there, is huge and makes me very happy.'

Martín then recalled the controversial moment when he already had some type of pre-agreement with Ducati, but that fell through, with Marc Márquez chosen to join the factory team. However, now with the title, he believes the manufacturer might even regret losing it:

– When all this was decided, I was not champion, it is difficult to know these things. But of course, they must certainly regret it now. But you have to ask them, in the end I will worry about myself, life takes us to unexpected places.
