Around 9 a.m. Sunday morning, emergency services were called after the possible explosion of a trailer on a campsite near the Baskatong reservoir in Grand-Remous.
A man in his sixties suffered serious burns. He was taken to hospital. However, we no longer fear for our lives, confirms the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The person, who seemed alone, moved themselves to get help
says the spokesperson for the SQCamille Savoie.
The event took place on a campsite, places which are not very busy in December. This allows us to believe that perhaps there were not many individuals on the site
explains Ms. Savoie.
Fire scene technicians and investigators from the SQ are still investigating to determine the causes of the explosion.
It is still too early to know its origin.
says Camille Savoie.
