MHSC – : double expulsion, Coulibaly hits the ball towards Genesio, scuffles… A tense end to the match

The end of the match between MHSC and (2-2) was under very high tension this Sunday, December 1, in a meeting counting for the 13th day of Ligue 1.

Electric! The end of the match between MHSC and Losc (2-2 final score) ended with lively exchanges, even provocations between the players and staff.

The rather peaceful atmosphere of the first act completely disintegrated over the minutes of the second. The pressure and the race behind the score first got the better of the pailladin coach, Jean-Louis Gasset.

The cracking of Coulibaly

In the 86th minute, while the fouls were multiplying and tempers were heating up, the latter became annoyed with the referee of the match, Mr. Millot. The man in yellow decides to expel the Montpellier coach, who does not lose his temper.

An event which does not demobilize Joris Chotard's teammates, who end up equalizing thanks to Arnaud Nordin (95th, 2-2).

The tension rises a notch. Gasset, even expelled, continues to give his instructions to preserve the draw. Lille are on the verge of scoring if Benjamin Lecomte does not intervene. On the restart that follows, Tanguy Coulibaly tries to save the ball from going out of bounds. In vain. But the attacker, while the ball is in touch, hits hard towards the opposing coach, Bruno Genesio.

An intentional gesture which causes a big scuffle in the middle of the lawn. The substitutes, the staff, the trainers… Everyone is involved. Mr. Millot logically decides to expel Coulibaly as well as Mitchel Bakker, who was replaced a few minutes earlier.

Incidents which had no consequences on the final result. While there were 15 minutes of stoppage time…
