. The starting grid for the Qatar Grand Prix with the return of Max Verstappen to pole position

Five months ago to the day, Max Verstappen took his eighth pole position, on June 30, on the Red Bull Ring circuit in Austria. Until this weekend in Qatar, it was the latest for the Dutchman, overtaken by McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes in the exercise. But after the officialization of his fourth world champion title last weekend in Las Vegas, “Super Max” did it again.

After the McLaren drivers’ double during the sprint race this Saturday, November 30, Verstappen spoiled the party for the British team, in a favorable position to win the constructors’ title. Joined by George Russell on the front row, the Dutchman will try to resist the return of his competitors, driving faster single-seaters in the race during the last Grand Prix.
