Hamas video shows signs of life of hostage Edan Alexander, 20

Palestinian terror group Hamas released a propaganda video on Saturday showing signs of life for hostage Edan Alexander, 20, the first of its kind in months.

This three and a half minute video is not dated, but Edan claims to have been detained for more than 420 days. If this information turns out to be correct, the video was filmed this week.

Edan, an American citizen, is a soldier who was stationed near the Gaza Strip on the morning of October 7, 2023, when he was taken hostage by Hamas.

In the footage, a gaunt-looking Edan identifies himself and asks the Israeli government to take him home. In the second part of the video, Edan speaks in English and asks the new American administration to work for his release.

Hamas has previously released similar videos of hostages held by the terrorist group, part of a campaign that Israel considers deplorable. However, the terrorist group has not released such videos for months.

Most Israeli media outlets do not broadcast the videos themselves.
