Canada and Iceland drew 0-0 in a women’s Soccer friendly on Friday.
The Canadians, ranked sixth in the world, will face South Korea, ranked 19th, on Tuesday, also at Pinatar Arena. Iceland is ranked 13th in the world.
Canada had 55% of the time of possession and led Iceland 5-3 in shots, but only one shot from each side was on target.
Lysianne Proulx replaced Sabrina D’Angelo in net in the second half.
Olivia Smith, who plays for Liverpool, narrowly missed the target in the 84th minute.
In October, the Canadians drew 1-1 against third-ranked Spain in their first outing since their quarterfinal exit from the Paris Olympics in early August.
Iceland had just suffered 2-1 losses against the Americans, first in the world, in Austin and Nashville.
The Canadians are 8-0-7 this year.
Cindy Tye, who coaches the Canadian women’s U20 team, is in charge of the November friendlies, while Canada Soccer is looking for a permanent head coach.
The organization says head coach Bev Priestman will not return following the independent report into the Olympic spy drone scandal.
Canada is deprived of experienced players in Spain. Kadeisha Buchanan, Sydney Collins, Cloe Lacasse, Evelyne Viens, Jade Rose and Quinn are injured, while Jordyn Huitema is sidelined for personal reasons.
