On the third day of the ceasefire, the Israeli army carries out an airstrike against Hezbollah

The Israeli army announced on Friday that it had carried out an airstrike against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, two days after the truce with the Lebanese Islamist movement came into force.

“Recently, terrorist activities and the movement of a mobile rocket launcher were detected in southern Lebanon,” said the Israeli army in a press release, which also published on X a video showing a strike on a truck driving slowly.

The Israeli army opened fire on Friday on residents of South Lebanon attending a funeral in a border village, where it is still deployed, two days after the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah came into force. .

“The enemy opened fire on citizens in Khiam, while they were participating in the funeral of one of the village’s sons,” reported the National News Agency (ANI), without reporting any casualties.

The National News Agency (ANI) also reported that the Israeli enemy fired flares on the Marjayoun plain as well as on the outskirts of the town of Bint Jbeil towards the town of Maroun al-Ras .

Another violation of the ceasefire agreement was an Israeli missile attack on Wata al-Khiam. In addition, Israeli reconnaissance and surveillance planes flew over towns and villages in the Tire district.

An artillery shell hit the village of Khiam. Israeli artillery fire targeted the outskirts of Markaba and Taloussa in the caza of Marjayoun and Bani Hayan. The Israeli army also bulldozed houses and land in Markaba. An Israeli Merkava tank shelled a house on the outskirts of Bourj al-Malouk in Tal Nahas. Israeli forces bulldozers were observed destroying and uprooting olive trees near the Al-Abara area, in front of the wall, in the village of Kfar Kila.

The village of Khiam saw fierce battles between the Israeli army and Hezbollah before the ceasefire took effect on Wednesday.

Furthermore, the Israeli army announced a new “curfew between 5 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday” south of the Litani River.

It should be remembered that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened Thursday with an “intensive war” in the event of a violation of the truce with Hezbollah.
