Oscar Tshiebwe played his very first game of the season with the Utah Jazz first team in the National Basketball Association (NBA). It was during the 18th day of the regular season of the North American professional championship.
This is obviously very good news for the Congolese pivot who played his 9th NBA game after the eight played last season with the Indiana Pacers. He continues his progress, having arrived this season still with a “two-way contract” (two-way contract which allows him to play with more with the G-League team) like last season. He’s taking advantage and with a little luck, the technical staff will call him back often to come and lend a hand. He needs the confidence to express his full potential.
For this first match, the former University of Kentucky finished the match with 3 points and 9 rebounds, 3rd best rebounder on his team, in 15 minutes on the floor despite the defeat of his team (103-122) in front of the Denver Nuggets. It is a very good performance which has certainly marked the technical staff and it will now remain to be seen whether he will be called up again for the next match against the Dallas Mavericks this Saturday December 1st.
