what future for “the ghost bus” of line 51?

There was a crowd in front of the Txik Txak truck parked last Sunday in front of Arbonne town hall. Representatives of the public transport network presented to users the new traffic plans, conditions and schedules envisaged for 2025. A perfect opportunity for many Arbonars to voice their dissatisfaction with current traffic conditions, or rather non- traffic…

The disappointing rate of passage of the “ghost bus” of line 51 and, worse, the irregularity of its passages were on everyone’s lips. Witnesses spoke of “a headache” that has lasted for months; a real hassle for adults and schoolchildren alike.

“When we drop our children off at the stop, we don’t know when they will arrive at school,” complains a mother. “Not even if they’re going to make it!” », added another. A father denounces a failure of public service which “impacts the education of our children and their safety”.

New from January 6

“We must constantly find alternative means to remedy the lack of buses on this line, this is not admissible”, we still hear among these parents, but also from people without motorized vehicles, with no other alternative to for example, go to medical examinations in or the hospital.

Aware of these problems and deficiencies of line 51, the Txik Txak representative responds that everything will be done to ensure school transport. It also highlights the implementation from January 6 of a new dedicated “Transport on demand” service.

“It will be advisable to reserve at least one hour before departure, or plan journeys up to a month in advance,” he boasts. More information from Txik Txak agencies.
