Facing climate change by taking concrete initiatives. This is the project of the new startup incubator, Quest for bioeconomy – Quest for the bioeconomy, in French – inaugurated this November 29, and based in Reims. The bioeconomy is the act of promoting production and transformation activities of biomass, that is to say the living organisms necessary for agriculture and industry (such as wood, plants, earth ), which are sustainable and ecological. The entity belongs to the Quest for Change regional incubator network. It aims to supporting young innovative companies in terms of sustainable development.
Offer an alternative to leather that does not include any plastic particles. This is the goal of the Reims startup Alternative Innovation, supported by the new Quest for bioeconomy incubator. And this is the very essence of the project: helping these young companies which are going even further in the development of environmentally sustainable agriculture and industry. In all, these are 137 startups supported in the Grand Est59 just for Champagne-Ardenne, and of which 41% are focused on sustainable agriculture. The Reims region benefits from diverse agriculture (forestry, cereals, vines), which makes Quest for bioeconomy its ideal location. If innovation is not the only way to adapt to climate change, it is one of the pillars. And Quest for bioeconomy intends to become the world leader.
