Sébastien Evesque, the president of the Loiret Assize Court, has decided to continue the debates and renounces the idea of forcibly extracting the accused. Since Tuesday November 26, Nassim Boukessira has been hiding behind his right to silence.
Today’s verdict
Questioned numerous times, about his relationship with his parents, about his schedule on the night of the events or after the moving testimonies of Rayan’s relatives, he did not give in. “I have nothing to add. I did not kill him,” he repeated.

“I don’t think it’s a decision taken lightly,” said his lawyer, Me Gilles-Jean Portejoie. This Friday morning, he received a letter from his client. The latter informed him of his desire not to attend the last day of the trial.
