???? Philip Zinckernagel is back in form away from Belgium: what a goal from the former Standard player! – All football

Philip Zinckernagel was loaned to Norway by FC Brugge. The former Standard player is playing in the European Cup with Bodo-Glimt, and scored a superb goal last night.

Philip Zinckernagel (29 years old) was loaned to Standard in 2022-2023 by Olympiakos, establishing himself as a major player in Ronny Deila’s team. Very popular with the Liège public, he nevertheless joined… Club Bruges, following Deila, the following season.

After a decent 2023-2024 season with a league title at the end (29 matches, 7 goals, 7 assists), Zinckernagel lost his place in the team this summer. He then went on loan to his former club, Bodo-Glimt, where he found playing time and pleasure.

Already decisive in the Norwegian championship (3 goals and 3 assists in 10 matches), the ex-Rouche was also decisive this Thursday evening in the Europa League. Or rather, Zinckernagel was a scorer – not decisive, because Bodo-Glimt lost to Manchester United (3-2).

The Dane scored 1-2, allowing the Norwegians to take the lead at Old Trafford, after a nice solo in the Mancunian defense. Manchester United would eventually win, but Zinckernagel made a strong impression.

This is good news for Club Brugge, who can hope that at the end of his loan to Bodo-Glimt, the Norwegian international can be sold for a good price. Note that given that the season is over in Norway, Zinckernagel will return on December 31: we will therefore have to find a solution this winter (or give him another chance for 6 months).
