A few hours before the 8th round of the French Cup, RC Saint-Joseph set foot one last time on the lawns of the National Football Center in Clairefontaine. The Josephin group seems ready to challenge this N3 formation, the ESOF Vendée la Roche-sur-Yon, the meeting will take place on Saturday November 30.
One last training session at the Michel Hidalgo space at the national football center in Clairefontaine, RC Saint-Joseph is now ready for the challenge of the 8th round of the French Cup.
During this stay in Clairefontaine, the Joséphins refined their preparation. Living together with top-notch facilities strengthened group cohesion
We worked our system well, especially defensively since we don't know much about our opponent, hence the importance of defending well first… it's the Cup, we know that the first mistake can be fatal, but we will also have to seize the opportunities.
Enrick Reuperné, RC Saint-Joseph striker
The most experienced of the Josephin group, Sébastien Crétinoir, is a real guide for his teammates. He feels they are ready for the famous mission.
I think the group was able to work well and it feels really good. Afterwards we'll see what that gives… my experience, I'm making the group benefit from everything I've been able to learn from the last participations in this competition, but as they say, you never stop learning. In this match, we know that we are not favorites so we will take all our chances. The group is very united, they are doing really well, hence my hope that it continues and that we get a good result on Saturday.
Sébastien Crétinoir, RC Saint-Joseph player
The technical staff and members of the Josephin club delegation did everything to facilitate the group's stay. Thursday evening (November 28), the feeling of the staff in particular was very positive given the group's overall production.
48 hours before the match, what we can say is that the training sessions were of good intensity. Production remains very interesting despite the complicated climatic conditions. We are on a mission, it is the first time that the club is playing an 8th round of the French Cup so the goal is to give everything on the pitch and we will see at the end.
Xavier Gaudry, member of the technical staff of RC Saint-Joseph
This Friday, November 29, the day before the match, the RC Saint-Joseph delegation reaches La Roche-sur-Yon in the morning with a journey of almost 5 hours by bus.
The team will train in the afternoon before facing ESOF Vendée la Roche-sur-Yon, an N3 club on Saturday November 30 at the end of the day.
