It was around 11:10 a.m. this Thursday, November 28 when the firefighters went to rue Issartel, in Chaumont. A gas leak was reported at the social action district (CAS). A security perimeter was immediately set up, and 65 personnel were evacuated.
Firefighters were dispatched to rue Eugène Issartel this Thursday, November 28, after being informed of a gas leak.
The 13 mobilized firefighters, placed under the command of Lieutenant Xavier Mourer, transport two ton pump vans to No. 7, where the social action district (CAS) of Chaumont is located.
Two police crews set up a security perimeter. It is prohibited to access rue Issartel and rue des Jonquilles. The 65 CAS personnel were evacuated as a precaution. The reinforced gas procedure is thus applied.
The gas leak is located at the level of the box which is in front of the CAS.
As soon as a GRDF technician has successfully intervened, staff are authorized to enter the building, and the security perimeter is lifted.
