A vehicle was reduced to a pile of scrap metal in the Laval district of Sainte-Dorothée, while another was heavily damaged by flames in Sainte-Thérèse during the night from Wednesday to Thursday.
The first fire reported to the Régie intermunicipale de police Thérèse-De Blainville, shortly after midnight, targeted a parked vehicle on rue des Amadouviers.

Investigators and fire scene technicians will travel to the scene to shed light on this fire of suspicious origin, indicated inspector Karine Desaulniers.
Investigators are expected to meet witnesses to this fire which, fortunately, did not cause any injuries, it was said.

For its part, the Laval Police Service (SPL) was alerted around 1 a.m. for a burning vehicle parked in a private driveway on Michel-Ney Street, near Lévesque Boulevard West.
Firefighters were able to control the flames, but the vehicle is considered a total loss due to the heavy damage caused by the fire.

As in the case of the Sainte-Thérèse fire, no one was injured and there was no damage to property. No suspects have been arrested.
Investigators were to travel to the scene to analyze the scene and try to establish the circumstances surrounding this suspicious fire, according to a spokesperson for the Laval police.
