“The current situation in Ukraine is such that the country needs more troops to fight. Currently, Ukraine does not mobilize and train enough soldiers to replace its losses on the battlefield while following the rate of growth of the Russian army”, a senior Biden administration official told The Associated Press.

An idea to which Ukraine does not seem to adhere, at least for the moment. In fact, the communications advisor of the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyindicated to Kyivpost that Ukraine is missing “weapons, and not staff to repel the Russian invasion.

The latter also questioned the delay in arms deliveries to the allies of the country.

“It is absurd to ask Ukraine to lower the age of mobilization, undoubtedly to be able to enlist more soldiers, while we see that the equipment announced does not arrive on time. Due to these delays, Ukraine lacks weapons to equip soldiers already mobilized”, he concluded.
