Three companies evacuated after a gas leak in Challans

Thursday, November 28, shortly before 10 a.m., firefighters intervened on Boulevard Pascal, in Challans (Vendée), for a gas leak. Ninety-four people were evacuated while they found her. No damage was reported.

It was 9:45 a.m. when the firefighters were alerted of a possible gas leak in one of the companies located on Boulevard Pascal, in Challans (Vendée). Thirteen firefighters, from Challans and Saint-Jean-de-Monts, were dispatched to the site, according to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Operations Center.

Minor leak

During the investigation by GRDF, part of the traffic was cut off. Ultimately, it was a minor leak. The firefighters left the site around midday while a GRDF agent remained on site to carry out repairs. Once operations are completed, all employees will be able to resume their activity.
